well on saturday we bought my wifes new little 84 bronco 2 for $550 and then after the 4 new tires ($520) i dipped into the top of the motor to work on oil leak and no wonder it was leaking the valve cover gaskets were brittle and broke probably the originals to the truck but what irks me is the guys so called mechanic had the carb off at somepoint and time and put the wrong phenolic spacer on it and it had a massive vacuum leak (the size of my finger) along with 2 vacuum lines a rat decided looked delicious we have all the little parts coming in for it on wednesday also i cleaned up the valve covers and shot a layer of flat black on them but alas i was sick and only worked half a day today and been in bed with the chills ..... have a new windshield on its way and new side glass

Freakin rats, they chewed up my buddy's injector rail wiring on his Kia, hopefully we can just splice them back together and solder up the connections. I just hope they didn't decide to luncheon on my truck!! Just another of the many projects I have to do when I get back!

Got yourself a keeper there! Gotta love a girl who will get her hands dirty and turn a wrench!

Perfect for the small hands though! It took me a couple swivel sockets and 12" extensions to get behind there and to the VC's on mine.

Took the replacement gas tank for My '59 to a car wash to rinse it out, it still has the factory black coating on the inside. Still some crap at the far end of the tank I can't seem to get at

got the lil bronco back together and found out it runs the same whether the 5 extra connections are plugged in or not so i believe i am gonna bypass them and use my good 2 bbl carb instead of the messed up one that came on it.....now it no longer leaks oil and the heater works great but unfortunately the leaky fuel hose i had to replace lost about 3/8 of a tank of gas!!!! so that is a terrible blow but from now till this weekend i plan on getting the new windshield in and new radius arm bushings under it and my better carb along with my new plugs and wires.......lotsa little stuff but it will be all worth it in the end

today was a sad day on our way home from cutting wood my wife son and i were in an accident we are all ok but the kid who was driving panicked and drove off from the scene of the accident and my truck is unable to be repaired and i know he was arrested im pretty certain he was drunk and i know he is under 18 but the 50 year old iron of my 66 saved us one last time and i was still able to drive it home so my 72 might be coming out of retirement with all the new parts i have been throwing at my 66 for the last 5 years as i have rebuilt and been through almost every part of the truck getting it to the level she was in..... and do forgive the goofy looking brother in law of mine in the top picture
