What did you do to your truck today..

Boy, is the SD a mess. I have the intercooler tubes pulled off, the valve covers pulled and the passenger side fender liner pulled off just to get the passenger valve cover off. The under valve cover wiring harness connections were a little loose, but probably not enough for the bad idle/start issue. I did find oil in the injection control module. I think that is the name, can't remember now. I will probably replace that. Now, I need to finish torqueing the injectors and rocker bolts on the passenger side since it is open. After that, I'll put the injector harness back on and try to fire it up without valve covers just to check injector "O" rings etc. If that is okay, then it is on to checking other stuff.

I've done a few things on it in the past and spent some time on the FTE 7.3 forum. They are a pretty knowledgeable bunch over there. I picked up a Motorcraft ICP sensor at the stealer today for a measly $220 with tax. I didn't get it put on tonight as I spent time getting the Bronco running because I am going to do a few more things on the SD before I put it back together and on the chance there is more to fix than the ICP sensor.
On the Bronco, I fixed the bolt on the transfer case that I hadn't worked on since the picnic at Randolf. Also cleaned the rats nest out from under the driver's seat since the the floor was open over the transfer case. I also picked up a new set of plugs and wires, but didn't get those put on tonight. I still need to do something with the carb. I think it needs an accelerator pump.

The POJ (Bronco) died a couple of times on me yesterday. I pulled the top of the carb this morning and replaced the accelerator pump and also put in the off road needles and seats that have been rattling around in the glove box for a year. I doesn't die on me now when I give it some gas. I still need to fine tune it as I think it is running a tad rich. I did reset the floats while I was in there.

I had stumbled up on the fact that my rear axle on the Rubi is not centered. I studied the situation and was puzzled, but then I looked up the lift kit that is on it, and found that there was an extra braket on my lift that shouldn't be there. it apparently was from the previous lift, that didn't get taken off. It looks as though if I can remove that lift, all will be right with the world, but I will have to investigate more before I remove it.

I replaced the plug wires and plugs on the driver's side of POJ last night. I ran out of sunlight, so didn't bother with the passenger's side yet. Doing the driver's side got ride of a nasty miss. It runs much better, but the carb still needs some tuning. I'll finish the plugs and wires in the next day or two.
