pressure wash sand blasting

I tried sand blasting some sheet metal on my 50 f1 with my pressure washer fitted with a siphon pick up sand blast attachment. Even though the blaster is 2400psi and 2.4 gpm. the pressure is not anywhere near that amount due to the large opening on the syphon sand attachment. There is not the problem of over heating and seems to work good for me. I have never herd any comment on this method and Iam new to this so my test is limited. Ed ke6bnl
