Windshield Installation

Would appreciate a few windshield installation tips for a 78 f-150. What is the best way to install with the rubber gasket? thanks for any input.

Windshield Installation

Well it's bean awhile since i done this but this is what i remember.
It was a mid 70's BTW.

I put the rubber on the winshield first, then run a small rope (1/4)around so the two ends meet at the (bottom?)Then it took "2" buddies.!lol
One guy helps the rubber to go onto the truck while the other guy pulls the rope out! It's kind of self explanitory at this point also i dont remember using any sealer but maybe we did!
It's been awhile you will have to forgive me!
Somebody will be able to tell you better but just incase this was a idea!

The rope trick works great, another trick is to bye a aerosal can of silicone spray from local parts house. That really helps.

Silicon spray works well but makes a mess to cl;ean up. Use liquid dish soap! It will wash right off and you'll have a nice clean window AND truck.

:You only put the silicone on inside of gasket, but I have used the soap method also. Either works well but my club and I prefer the silicon.
