Dreher State Park @ Lake Murray seemed like a decent place. Maybe we can pencil something in.

For those that are wondering... I'll get started on a updated roster here soon.

We didn't have much luck with it last year, hopefully we can change that in '09!

Iirc, we did the g2g in May there last time. Shelter #5 or 6 seemed to be the "best" site around.

I'm still looking for some sign of life here... I may have to do a mass broadcast to see if I can get biters that way.

I didn't want to set up something till I get some sort of ball park of everyone's schedule.
...It won't take long to set it up though.

This year I have to remember to tell the park service that it is for a non-profit club/charter that is using the shelter- I was told that I would get a better rate; we'll see.

 

How far are you from the park? I was reading the guide lines for reservations and if I am reading them right, if you make a reservation it is x amount, but if you don't, then it is free!! Go figure....like I said, I could be reading it wrong.....but if I can help, let me know!!

I just got wind of the Super Nats coming in May (Thanks Bill). Perhaps throw this in for May's gig and push foward with a Dreher meet in Lateeee May early-mid June?

Hey Rich, That sounds good, I'll have to check it out. It's a little piece from Greenville to Knoxville, about 200 miles(give or take a mile) I think. See what the other's think.

 

i would be down for going! well that is depending on when it is. i will be gone to san diego on a work up from about may 8 to june 5! if it's not between then i will be there!

crap man i'm not gonna be able to make that one. i'll be in san diego on the 8th and won't be back in SC until the 5th of june! all these workups getting ready for deployment are BS! they're cutting into my playing time...haha

 

Where are you going to be deployed? and when?

 

i'm going out on the Nimitz from july to january!

 

Well I hate you won't be able to be at the show, but maybe you can go to the gtg Rich is trying to get together. If not, be careful when you are deployed.
