tail lite problem

bare with me on this on my wifes windstar 1999 the right rear turnsignal qiut working bulb good fuse good, now left tail light brake lite not working bulb good fuse good switch socket from side to side checked out good any ideas on what to check??? would electronic flasher unit cause this?? HELP !!!!!!

I'd look at the turn signal lever/switch, unless it has a separate turn signal bulb from the brake light.

it does have seperate turn signal lite and brale lite

When you turn on the signal, do you hear the flasher clicking? If not chance are that its bad.

check the 4 way flashers , if there good then maybe its a turnsignal relay, or the levers faulty

First your right rear turn signal quit working, I assume the right front turn signal is working. Then you lost the left rear break and tail light? I would suspect wiring harness issues. Maybe some moisture got into a plug and has caused some corrosion.

a very good possibility, check everything and see what solves your problem.

tail lights

ok I need some help again I looked in the owner manual and also chiltons for this vechile I can not find the 4 way flasher unit, manual does not show it, chiltonns says it is next to the fuse box under dash not there?? anyone have a ford manual that would show it also the wire color code in chiltons is incorrect need to know wire color code for right rear turnsignal thanks

Mike, if the 4way flasher works, you should be able to trace it down by sound. That clicking you hear when the flasher is on is the relay you're looking for.
