Hey, Fatforty

There is a mid 80's Bronco in town with a dark burgundy paint job and a faint image of 4 running horses down each side in a slightly lighter burgundy. The horses only show when you look straight into the side, at a 30 degree or so angle they seem to fade out with almost a 3-D effect. I have seen it in both daylight and at night and seems to have the same resulting fade out. How did he do that? It has a really nice look to it and I was wondering how hard it would be for an amateur to pull it off.

Hey, Fatforty

Alanscott, it was probably done with pearls you take the same color paint you have on the truck and add pearl to it different colors make it lighter or darker and as the light moves over it it changes depending on what color you use you can actually get the shape to change color!!! kind of like the pic of my mustang if you look at the front fender it almost looks purple but the car is silver if you look at a different angle the car will look green. This is done with gold pearl in silver paint.
