in an article in Ford Performance Trucks, it clearly shows the crew putting Banks torque tubes on a '06 F150/5.4 with everything intact. they removed the front wheels and the inner fender liner to expose the manifolds. they used a hoist, but it was done with the engine in the truck.

You said stock manifolds so does that mean the truck has aftermarket manifolds on it? I am actually wanting to do the opposite and put some headers on so this information will help me also.

my 07 has stock ones on now...but i have 200k on this truck and it appears the exhaust gasket is leaking slightly so i thought i would replace the manifolds as well...i bought some stock manifolds on ebay with 4500miles for 50 bucks...pretty cheap...

200K is a actually only 124,000 miles. It's that damn metric system! It'll get you every time! Just ask the engineers that gave that mars probe attitude descent instructions in feet when it should have in meters! OOPS!

OK, so how do you put 120,000 miles on an 07? I bought mine in June of 07 and only have 13K on it? I guess you have to drive it.

this truck was used to drive between calgary and edmonton ab...about 300km per trip and was used by a parts rep....i can tell you at 200000km it still runs and drives like brand new....very extensive service history though...

This is good to know that they are built to last because as long as I take care of my 05 it should last quite some time. My F150 is a 2005 and I only have 68000 miles on it. My grandpa, dad and brother all drove Fords forever and they usually only broke down after extensive use like tons of miles and from hauling wood and stuff. As long as my truck lasts 200000 miles I'll be happy.

My '05 has 18,900 on it, and it gets babied with the maintenance stuff. The first prob I'll probably have with it is a worn out oil pan drain plug.
