05 explorer fuel pump cutoff for no reason

Our exp. wouldn't start this a.m. Scanned the computer, checked the neutral safety switch and finally reset the fuel pump switch. Started after flipping the switch. Exp has never been hit from the rear and was drove last night. Any ideas?

Was it tripped, you feel it mash down when you pushed it? Or did it just start working after you pushed it? I've seen them get corrosion or an arc "tit" ( 'scuse the term) and loose contact. It's basically a ball and cup type deal.

Better than having to put a fuel pump in. If it does it again, consider replacing the switch.
