Toyota Steering With A Flathead........
I did a search and gleaned lots of information on the Toyota PS conversion for '48-'52 F1 trucks. I came away with very little info concerning the Toyota conversion while retaining a flathead engine. Has anyone used the Toyota PS with a flathead? What did you use for a pump, brackets and pulley setup on the engine? Surely someone has tackled this challenge!

Power Steering Pumps and Alternator Brackets here's one way, though it ain't cheap. I'm looking at building a bracket and using the Toyota pump down low, but not lower than the box. (it may be the same as a GM Saginaw pump?) Or I may go electric, as I want my engine bay to look as original as possible.

I had this same question and started a thread a while back. scott123 has some pictures in his gallery. this is a link to that thread that I started. I would like to do the same with my '53 some day. I think you will have to fabricate a bracket

Another option for the power steering pump on a flathead would be the stock, optional unit that was used on the ford and Mercury cars in '53. It is kind of rare as it was not offered till '53 and the flathead was not used after that. A while back there was a flathead on ebay complete with the pump and bracket. I saved the picture of it.
