Bed removal

Both of my fuel senders on my '87 F-250 need to be replaced. I think that it would be easier to lift the bed than to remove both tanks. How can someone working out of his garage accomplish this? are there any helpful hints anyone can offer? should I try to remove the bolts or just torch/ replace them? It is an Ohio truck with the usual rust. Thank you in advance for your help.

It can be lifted by two "willing and able" people. Yes it is the quickest way to the sending units. You can either lift it off and move it or have something available to rest it upon and just raise it off the frame. I have used plastic milk crates at 4 differant points. Just make sure it is secure, don't risk a personal injury. oh....and don't get caught stealing those plastic milk crates.
