Talking Burple is beautiful

Finally got some Burple color on the new bed panels. No I don't have any pics cause Linda dropped the camera but as soon as I can get the panels home and start assemble I also hope to have a new camera. The paint came out great and it hasen't even been rubbed yet. Base coat/clear coat and I think it is really going to look nice.
I know you like pics and I don't have any BUT I just had to tell someone and who better to tell than friends who really can appreciate a 6 year project that is finally becoming reality. Hope to finish by June so we can be looking good in Peigon Forge this year.I'll try to post some pics soon, Garry Linda had to unplug all the phones so she could get me to stop calling everyone , I SURE AM EXCITED----WOW

I'm working on it at my buddies shop, been waiting for the weather to warm and it did Wed. but I had to go to V.A. for pre admisson testing on Wed and Tommy waited till today to spring it on me. He asked me to check the water in the paint room and what a shock when I walked in. The panels were hanging, ready for paint so he thought he'd surprise me and knew I would be gone all day, what a suprise from a good friend.

I got to get a new camera for the pics, probably bring the panels home this weekend and start assemble, I still gotta sand and treat the wood but have already mocked up the wood and cut for the wood for the tubs so maybe it won't take to long.

I think that color has been around since 1958. It was OEM on a FPPE. Sure looks strange to me.

I gotta put the snow plow up tomorrow, get Homade out of the garage, remove the fenders and old bed, my neighbor is gonna let me put Homade in his garage till I take it over to the body shop. Then I can go get the bed panels and bring them home and start to put it together in my garage. Can't wait to get it done, we're gettin somewhere now.
