Yeah, me too. Well, the three MPG increase sounds good if it actually happens.

That thing is going to tear the competition a new one. Dodge has like one thing going for it against the others and GM can't afford squat in development.

before we get to excited let's see how it's put together, does it have 4 bolt's around each cyl bore like the 6.0 or 6 bolt's like the 7.3 had,see this video, YouTube - 6.0 vs 7.3 POWERSTROKE FORD DIESEL 6 OF 6 ,this is # 6 series, see the other 5.

You'd think this would be one of the main things Ford looks to fix on this new motor since they don't want to be having all the warranty issues like on the previous motors, hopefully they are smart enough to do this.

Are the aluminum heads on this beast going to pose a long term issue? I've never owned a diesel. The 6.0 and the 6.4 have kinda scared me off. Maybe this one will pan out.

Well, head bolts have not been an issue with the 6.4 like they are with the 6.0, not even on 6.4s making over 500 hp. Maybe Navistar got their act together and used bigger bolts, a better torque sequence, something to address the problem - not that they will ever admit that it's a problem on the 6.0
The EGR setup is different on the 6.4 too.
