Bridgestone Revo's or BF Goodrich all terrain T/A's?

I have an 02 F250 SuperCrew 4x4 and I presently have the BF Goodrich all terrain T/A tires on it. I am running 285/75/16 on the stock wheels. The tires I have now are the "D" load tires. These tires have about half the tread left but they will not balance now and the vibration has got to go. I talked to the BFG dealer and they said where I put the 285's on the truck there is no warranty. I do like the BFG treadwear and rugged traction but do I gamble on them again?? Would I have better luck with the BFG "E" rated tires??
The Bridgestone Revo tires gets great reviews and I was wondering if anyone here runs them, and what their treadlife has been like?? The Revos do not wear well on large trucks from what I read and they only come in a "D" load rating.
Any feedback on the Revo's would be appreciated.

My dad has had over 5 sets of 285 D BF A/Ts since 00' and never had any problems. Bridgestone is a good tire and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them. I would recommend staying away from anything made by Cooper. I've had nothing but problems with my Cooper made tires. 6 out of 8 tires developed sidewall cracks in less than 6 months.

WOW - I would try another dealer !!!
Or at least ask him if he would tell BFG that their tires are not warranted for rear tires

My original BFG's have 80K miles and still going strong !!!

Bought my 06 with the Revo's on it at 36k. I've got 50k on it now, not sure how many miles it had when they were put on. Original tires were BFG Rugged Trails as evidenced by the spare. I'd guess maybe 15-20k on the Revo's. BTW, they are 265/70R17 E-rated. Better than 1/4" tread left, probably 9/32" - 11/32", that's with several good burn-outs on 'em (thanks SCT)

I have owned several sets of BFG all terain TA/KO's and they have been great untill the last set I put on my truck. They wore great but we were never able to get them balanced, tried road force balancing, nothing worked. we replaced all 4 with a new set and still could not get them to balance either. Finally got tired of messing with them and put a set of Michelin LTX/AT2's and the ride smoothed out and so far have been the best set of tires Ive ever owned. A couple of years ago BFG was sold to Goodyear and their tire quality has gone down dramatically.

Michelin North America, Inc. (MAST) still owns the BFGoodrich...

I had the revo,s on a 02 F150. They rode and handled great also I had over 30000 on them with still half of tread left when I traded for 06 F-250 which had the BFG all-terrain that I replaced just after 2 weeks because they didnt ride well. I put the nitto terra grapplers 285/70/17 E-rated. The nittos ride good and wearing o.k. 20000 miles with maybe a little more than half of tread left, but I will probably look into the REVO'S for my next set because I dont haul that much of load but if you haul heavy loads the nitto would be good.

Go to a new tire store. Also, if you are off-road much, consider the BFG MT KM2s- I'm changing for them immediately when I get my new truck as they handle pavement well to.

Well i've had both on the same 2001 F150. The BF's handle better, ride smoother as they age and to me look slightly better. On the other hand they tend to hydroplane easier when they are older and don't do as well in the mud. However, dry dirt or dry loose dirt they are strong. In the mud they are a not as good because of all the little tight spaces fill up very easy. Don't get me wrong they are still ok but comparing them to the Revo's they just don't go as well in the muck.

Now the Revo's are quiet when new, ride smooth and still look real good just not as tuff looking as the BF. However, they don't handle as good and they feel a little more mushier and heavier to me than the BF's. I found the fuel mileage was about .5 - 1 mpg less in the same size with the Revo. Off road in the mud they were definitly better and pulled hard. Steering feel is also a little less with the Revo's.

I've had both. 4 sets of BFG AT/KOs and 1 of the Revos. I have BFGs now, only because Revos arent available in the 20" size for the Super Duty.

Every BFG AT tire I've had has been a pain to balance, usually it takes 6 tires to get 4 that will balance okay, not great.

I put the Revos on my wife's Expy. Each tire took less than 1 once of weight. They were smooth, quiet and great in the rain.

Those tires had 35k plus miles when we sold the Expy and they still looked, handled and rode great.

If the Toyo MTs weren't stupid expensive, I'd consider those too. I've read a lot of good reviews on them for highway and off road use.

The Revo's are the best truck tire I have ever tried. Last year I got GYear Pro grade silent armor E rated for my '08. They are 18" wheels and I think the Revo's were either way too expensive or unavailable. I'm pretty sure they were backordered with a serious amount of wait time.

I had the sidewall separate on the GoodYear and the warranty replacement was great, no questions asked. I never had that happen on a Revo.

I drive around 50K a year so I go through tires pretty regularly. I would advise you get the Revo's.
