Well, the old girl has made 200,000 miles! She still running great, so maybe I can get another 100,000 or so out of her!
Only things she's needed is a MAF sensor, pitman arm, u-joints, one hose for the remote oil filter, and the lower ball joints. Couldn't be happier with this truck!!
Congrats Pat on hitting 200K and get that truck washed up, it looks terrible
Mine is slowly creeping up on 100K which it should do sometime this summer.

Bought it in 2000, had about 52,000 on it. The previous owner took really good care of it, it still had the plastic on the leather seats from the factory, I guess he had a seat cover on them!
Gratz Pat, sounds like its getting wore out so you should sell it to me for scrap prices, lets see, 1 1/2 ton so that figures out to about 60 bucks, where do you want me to send the check to?<LOL

Ha! Sorry Randy, but there is a future 16 old in the house who has his eye on it! It's actually running beautifully, barely burns any oil, and still gets decent mileage. I've been driving it to work everyday, but I'm going to start splitting time with the 06, since diesel is down right about with gas.
i was just joking Pat,sounds like its just broke in and lots of miles left in it,couldn't resist the offer tho, hehe

Congrats on 200k. Funny that 97 looks a little different then the "97" I saw the other day.
A car lot here in Lincoln was selling an F-150 that looked like mine except the colors. Same body style and everything. They said it was a 97.

Didn't Ford sell the old body style as a 97 Heritage edition, or something like that? I think it was just till they emptied out the stockpile of parts.

that was in 04 when they changed body styles. They maintained the 97-03 style for one year as a "heritage" edtion. I think they were hedging their bets on the new body style!

So in other words ...surprise they were full of it.
