Qestions about brake pads change on 2006 2wd

I am going to swap out my factory front pads on my 2006 2wd tomorrow. The ones that are on there just produce too much brake dust. I took a wheel off and had a look.

There are two 18mm bolts on the inside of the caliper. That's the caliper mounting bracket bolts and need to be left alone, right? I should be looking for two 12mm bolts to slide the caliper off for the pad swap, correct?

The 18mm and 12mm bolts will both be standard threaded left/loose and right/tight. Is that correct? There will be none of that reverse thread stuff?

Thanks in advance.

no reverse thread stuff, leave the larger bolts alone thats the caliper mount assy, you wana undo the smaller ones on the actual caliper

So it will basically be just like a 2000 model 2wd? I changed the rotors/hubs, bearings, and pads on my 2000 model once. It was a piece of cake.

I just wanted to make sure Ford didn't have any tricks up their sleeve for me on this newer model. The last thing I wanted to do was snap a bolt head off because the thread was reversed.

Thank you.

Well, they are on. It only took about an hour. Thanks for the reassurance.

Yes, sir. They were very simple to do. I just wanted to make sure I was looking for the right bolts and there were no tricks I needed to know.

I put a set of ceramic pads on there. So far I can't really tell a difference except that today I drove my truck around and the front wheels didn't look like someone dumped charcoal dust all over them by the time I got home.
