The truck pictured is a panel, a van of this vintage would be a bread truck type van.

Wow, You don't see very many '48-'50 Mercury panels. Wish I had the money for another project! But if you're looking for one that is even rarer than that I've got a story for you.I went to see a guy in Pickering Ontario ( Just east of Toronto ) a week ago to get a door for my '49 M-47. He has a 1946 Mercury panel for sale.
I never got to see it but sounds like it is in good shape. All the Mercury trim is there. No engine. Special panel seat is there. Wood floor is still in it .He did some searching and his guess at the number made was under 50 so can't be a lot left.

When you find a Mercury Ranger let me know, that would be an extremely rare truck, if they even made them.

Not sure what you mean by a Mercury Ranger ? Been interested in Mercury trucks for a long time and have never heard of that. Could you post a little more information please ? Thanks.

I've been searching for a 42-47 Mercury panel for a long time, what's the asking price, and can he wait a year or so?

Mercury Ranger would be a 4x4 version with rear windows among other coutriments (is that even close to spelled right?)

The 1946 is the first year for the Mercury truck. You can go to his website at: www.obsoletepickupparts.com
Email: info@obsoletepickupparts.com
He feels this truck is too good to rod and should be restored. Seems to me the price was $ 6,000 CDN but don't quote me on that.
Hope this is of some help.

Tom,

Where did you get the picture from? Did you see this truck in person or is it something you found on the net? I would really like to change my Ford into a Mercury, this truck looks like a total wreck but it looks like it might have all of the trim and good grill.
