You can install a two speed rear-end, and go with a 1 to 2 gear ratio and go for the 30 MPG.

200 mile round trips to the rubicon ,(google ice house rd) crew cab with 38.5" tires towing the toyota was 13.34 and 14.1 mpg.

how about some towing mpg's

this was the load, full camping gear for 4 people, 3days, and all 4 in the cab.

Well, I'm down to 12 mpg again, but that's cause i run 8%-10% grades all the time and I don't have a turbo. Having the IP turned up a bit don't seem to help much either, I will be turning it down today as right now I can make lots of smoke even in 3rd gear at 2000 rpms.

This I can believe, truck pulling a load and getting decent milage. Anybody with 4:10s ain't getting over 20 mpg without a BIG overdrive

So I've noticed that it seems like all you guys breaking 20's (or claiming to) have 2WD's...I'm sure that helps.

I actually have a set of 3.55's sitting in my garage that I bought for my truck...I just haven't really wanted to pay the $500-ish it would cost to get them installed. Ah well.

I'm barely breaking 13 mpg lately...even on highway trips. I rarely go above 65 on the highway yet I still only get 13 mpg even if I drive 2 hours. Doesn't make sense.

I'm hoping my new lift pump will help with that but who knows.

Did you try use cruise control and set at 60 mph

That what I did in 2000 F350 XLT and got 19.5 mpg with 3,000 pounds in bed.

well MY CLAIM..hahaha is that I average 15-16 city and 17-19 highway with a locked up fan clutch that went bad that way and 211,568 miles on the original injectors but rebuilt IP as of 185,---. Suck my big toe LMAO. Best I ever got with my N/A was 21 with a my yearly load of christmas trees. Guess I attribute that to the down grades coming back down doing 75 coasting. lol
