My 400 build so far and what I plan to do

Here is what I have done so far I have the 400 block bored 30 over with Tim Meyer’s pistons. We went with the CHI 2V 190 cc ffice:smarttags" /><?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comlace>Cleveland</ST1lace></st1:City> heads with a 65 cc combustion chamber. The cam is comp cam Xtreme energy XE262H along with Scorpion roller rockers. Intake is a weiland 4 barrel .

Here is what I am planning on doing. The carb I am thinking about is between the 750 Barry grant speed demon and the Holley truck avenger 670. I want to top that off with a 1969 -1970 mustang shacker ram air hood assembly .for an example hit the link

I may have to use more then a 2 inch carb spacer to get it to come through the hood right not sure until we get it all together. I also want to go with Hedman headers with a 1 5/8 tubes and 3 inch collectors fender exit hooked to a pair of cherry bomb mufflers and have them exit just before the rear tires. We are also rebuilding the c-6 with a 2000 rpm stall speed torque converter by TMI the transfer case is getting rebuilt as well. The rear end is originally a 3.55 gear set not sure what we are doing with that yet electric locker is on the list of ideas.

The truck is a 1978 f-150 flare side 4X4 I am doing the body work and paint job along with a complete interior.

The engine was bored 30 over when we pulled it . Took it to the machine shop and they cleaned it up . The machine shop said it was good to go with the bore it had so we left it at 30 over . Not sure if they even checked the align bore of the crank and cam . I would hope so But I will have to ask them .

an engine that came apart running with no main bearing issues shouldn't need any line bore work for a mild build
