mounting location(s) ?

Just curious...for all you (fellow) air suspension trucker's...

...where did you mount your air tank(s)?
...where did you mount your air compressor(s)?
...where did you mount your valves, on the tank?

...it's gettin' a little weird over here......

...

My tank is on the outside of the frame, under the passenger door,
the compressor is vertical, mounted on the outside of the frame, inside the right front corner of the bed.
using the bracket from SuicideDoors.
my valves (rear only) are mounted on the cross member.. see this picture

Question tanks...

......I promise...last time...what size tanks are you guys using?

...maybe I got a little carried away with the 12-gallon tank?......

...with a rear fuel tank, (forgot in all the excitemnent!)... wonderin' where

I can stash this torpedo......good thing it was an in-stock item...

we discussed this when I purchased it and IF need be I can exchange it

for somethin' else...

Dimensions: 12 1/2" H x 44" L

I just went an remeasured the tank AGAIN and the listed
height does include the mounting legs...they are 2 1/4"
from the tank body...

<O</O

THANKS FELLAS!!!

and im guessing you dont want to mount it in the bed....what about somwere on the outside of the rear frame rails....like that extra space behind the rear wheels, might have to do a little fab work to the body...

wish i had pictures! i built a steel box and installed it on the left hand under the cab where the old fuel tank was, the side towards the running board i left open to cool the compressors, have the tank, 2 compressors, valve and solennoids all in one location.

Lightbulb plumbing & mounting...

...well...it looks like I MIGHT have gotten myself in a little bit of a jam...

...look like at 44" overall lenght it's a little too long to fit between the

framerails...unless I get real creative...startin' to get real fun......

...I did find a diagram that helped clear up a few points for me...

..I think...

Do this make sence for just a FB system?...NO hoppin' or dancini'...
Just ride height & layin' frame...

Question Valve Blocks...and Level ManagementSystems...

...Valve Blocks...I've been investigating this option more and more
as I go......and I think it may be a good option for ME...

...thepitshop...which valve block did you go with?
...howz it workin' out?

Chuck...I TRIED to do a search on www.SuicideDoors.com but
kept commimg up empty handed......
...I'll keep at it...I like that idea as my Viair 400C's are oil-less...

Regarding Level ManagementSystems...
...I ran across an advertisement in Classic Trucks for this company
and wondered if anyone as heard of them or has any experience
with their products?

Pricing seems fair...leveling system is ride-height based control only.
Valve block is a-LOT less than Air Ride Technoliges...go figure...
I was gettin' tired of tryin' to get a straight answer out of them...

AccuAir - Air Suspension

...Thanks again...

I have used a 5 Gallon Tank, and valve block all mounted under the rear bed as seen here:

One benefit of having IRS is that the rear Diff does no move, so I have a Prop shaft that stays fixed so was able to make a mounting bracket that went between the frame rails.

There are more pics and details on my site (Link below).

Cheers

I'm using a 2.5 gal tank, one compressor, and 1 set of 2 valves (one up, one down) for both rear bags.

the tank is under the passenger side door, the compressor under the bed floor in the right front corner. the valves hung on the cross member where the old parking brake cables went thru.

check valve into the tank from the compressor,
check valve out of the tank into the up control valve.
T to both bags
to the down valve

the difference between the individual valves/block is individual bag control/vs all bags at once.
