Wow, great find!!! Don't strip it, please. (but if you do, I'd be interested in the driveline ) That is not something you see every day. What's the story behind it?
very nice, few and far between, straight as can be. you need to clean your boots, son, cause you stepped right in it! don't cut it up! one of us mh fans would gladly take it off your hands. GOOD FIND!
This is where it gets counter-intuitive. Rarity doesn't carry with it automatic dollar value. In the case of Marmon-Herringtons, parts are not easily found so a lot of buyers are scared off by that fact. Another thing that scares people is the fact that you probably don't want just anybody trying to rebuild the pieces. I mentioned that Chuck is the guru. He is the person rebuilding my drive train, and he charges money to do it. Your truck is together, running, and might not need rebuilding just yet. But it is 57 years old, there are plenty of things unknown about it, and it will obviously need work at some point. Each of the trucks in my signature block I bought for $2000 or less. I know of others that have gone for more, some for even less. If what you really want is a rust free western cab, you should be money ahead to find one and pay the shipping. I'd love to have your truck, but am in deep on two that are down to their frames, and two others waiting their turns. I'd suggest you talk to KSmith.
Thanks truckdog, I would love to build that truck. I am down to doing the cab on my current project which means I will be looking for the next one. I should finish by end of April. I am in Ohio so I am not that far away. If you do sell, I am interested.
make me an offer i may sell it. The problem is ill have to try to find another and thats nearly impossible around here
Oh, I'm sure Kevin could find you something if he really wants the M-H COE. He's pretty good at finding trucks.
I would like a M-H but I know I would never do it justice by doing a proper restoration. I just don't have the time, patience or money to do it 100% correct.
I am interested in the truck but you would have to give me a price. I agree with truck dog on what he suggested. I can be reached at 330.353.0605 if you are interested in talking.
We've never heard back, and I've not seen the truck for sale anywhere else. And if KSmith bought it, do I remember right that he had some personal issues that got in the way of messing with old trucks? Stu

I don't think Kevin will be working on old trucks for a while unless it's in a prisoner rehabilitation project. He and some relatives got busted for running a big time pot growing operation last year. I have no use for drug dealers.
Stu, I don't want to drag this out but. the reason I was blunt about Kevin's situation is I have no compassion for drug dealers, if he had a personal problem that caused him to end up in jail I wouldn't have mentioned it. I just feel drugs are hurting every aspect of our society and I have no pity for anyone dealing the crap. It really makes me mad. Nuff, said.
