Just thought I would give my fellow Ford enthusiasts a heads up on what has been increaseingly happening on Ebay.

Seems as though numerous people (sellers) on Ebay have discovered just how sought after the 94-95 5.0 GT or Cobra T5 transmissions have become. I have witnessed numerous transmissions which sellers are claiming to be this awsome transmission but have no transmission identification tag on the transmission. I guess removing the tag, since the transmissions are all interchangeable, and selling them claiming not to have the 5.0 bellhousing makes that light duty 4 or 6 cylinder T5 into a high torque unit. Without being able to ID the transmission who knows what you will get and probably blow up.

Thanks for the heads-up though. My original 88 T-5 in my Mustang still works, sghe's just a bit rough around the edges

 

How can you ever tell if that is what you are getting? Any special way other than the tag? Tag's are easily swapped out.
