Nice.

I agree with You about the black grill/ black truck.
It does look better than Black/White, that most fleet vehicles are equipped with.
I wish manufacturers would do away with the stupid plastic intake manifolds. You'd think that they'd have learned by now?

Thanks!

I agree. The '09 grill is quite big. If it was chrome, my personal feeling is that it would be a bit gaudy. With an XL though and its black grill, as you say, you take the risk of it looking like a telephone company truck if you select white.

The plastic intake is a plus now that they've realized they need to keep the coolant out of it. No more cracking. The beauty of plastic is that it doesn't conduct heat so much, so the air/fuel stay cooler.

Thanks!

Though it's a rather modest truck, I've had people compliment me on it just about every day that I've had it out and about. Yesterday a gentleman was admiring it when I came out of the grocery store. We started chatting and he was telling me how much he misses his F-150. He has a Honda Pilot now and hates it.

Now I just have to wait till my income tax refund check gets here so I can get a cap.

Thanks guys! I'm enjoying the heck out of this thing. Next step is getting a cap for it. Maybe this weekend.

That is a nice looking truck and it will do just about anything a 40K truck will do. There is a lot to be said for that. I have champagne taste on a beer pocketbook and likely I will join the xl crew myself one day. Congrats on your new rig.

I agree. It's also bigger than the previous regular cabs.

I'll try to get a side shot in a few days....
