Western Oregon GTG ideas thread

By the awesome powers entrusted to me as Assistant Oregon Chapter Leader, I want YOU westsiders (AND Eastsiders) to start firing away with any and all suggestions for a westside GTG!. From Astoria to Ashland, Portland to Roseburg..............Lets get some ideas from everyone on how to GTG and have some fun!.....Lets help Don out, and start amping up this chapter! Swap meet sounds good, how about a trail run for the folks with 4x4s?, anybody have a favorite "playground"?

I've thought about the swapmeet for over a year now, but I don't think it would work. The swapmeet is an insane "madhouse" with thousands of people wandering around. It would be hell trying to meet up there............

OK, guys heres a suggestion,................Eugene roadster show at the Lane county fairgrounds on this wknd. Mar.21/22, Also at the same venue, The Willamette valley arms collectors spring gun show....Both going on at the same time,..Guns and cars, does it get any better than that?..........Easy to meet location and not heavily crowded like the Portland events.

I think the key is to meet on a weekend where an activity is on more than one day. Maybe have two different days all can meet up? I only get fridays off

No bikes or quads here, (I dont like broken bones) but no reason for folks who like this stuff to not use it for a GTG ....Lets see if folks are interested!

anybody know if they still do the sweet home mountain mud festival. that might be a good place to GTG.

Web site for the mud festival says 1 Sat. in March, I guess we missed that one.
However, it also does not say if one was held last year or anything about 09. 2007 was the last listed event.
