GLUE?? for body panels

like many others i have rust floorboards in my 42, so here is the plan. Wire wheel all the rust off, cut back to clean strudy metal, using body panel glue attach repair panel. Will the glue work as a seam sealer as well? I'm told the glue is stronger than the metal when cured and the metal will rip before the glued seam. Does this sound like an acceptable repair method?

GLUE?? for body panels

Sure it will work but....don't leave any exposed edges to rust. As for using glue as a seam sealer that is way to pricey. 3M makes seam sealers for vehicles that remains flexible.
