1976 390 fluid capacities

O.k...It's stupid question time!

What's the fluid capacities for a stock 1976 390 f-150 with a c-6? Specifically, I need to know the Oil and transmission capacity. The original stickers are gone so I don't have any idea of what the original capacities for the truck were.

6 quarts for engine oil

As for the transmission, it can be slightly tricky depending on the pan and what convertor was installed, plus how much fluid you can get out of the convertor and what is all left in the cooler lines...

So with that said, 7 quarts should do it, but if it were me I would get 10, it's fairly cheap (Type F) and this way you'll have some extra possibly.
