Spark Plug Change in The 4.6 V/8

I have an 04. Will be wanting to change the plugs in the furture. After you remove the stud to take the plug coil off, will the coil come out without having to remove the fuel rail????Does not appear to be enough clearance?????

yeah they come out fine, you can kind pull them off at an angle. they are quite malleable. did mine on friday, took about an hour for all 8. correct gap is .052-.054. the plugs i had in there were at about .110 truck runs a lot better now

DRIZZT, great, just the answer I was hoping for...I know the 4.6 is not having plug removal problems, but have to ask. Any problems removing the plugs?? Did you run any solvent in at the plugs first before trying to remove them???

the 04's got away without the plug issue. you have normal plugs and are in the clear. no issues to report. only special thing i did was have to remove teh bracket that supports the power steering fluid reservoir but its only 3 bolts
