here ya go, your laugh for the day.

Subject: Survivor, Texas Style

Due to the popularity of the "Survivor" shows, Texas is planning to
do one
entitled, "Survivor, Texas-Style."

The contestants will all start in Dallas , then drive to Waco ,
Austin ,
San Antonio , over to Houston , then down to Brownsville . They will
then proceed up to Del Rio , El Paso , Midland , Odessa ,Lubbock , and
Amarillo .

From there they will go on to Abilene , Fort Worth , and, finally,
back to Dallas .

Each will be driving a pink Volvo with bumper stickers that read: "I'm
Gay," "I Love the Dixie Chicks," "Boycott Beef," "I Voted for
Obama,"
"George Strait Sucks," "Hillary in 2012," and "I'm here to confiscate
your guns."

The first one to make it back to Dallas alive, wins.

Hey Pete, how much Cat EQ.do you guys have?
Only one CAT piece. A 236B skid. She's a beautiful machine though. Full cab, heat/AC, hydraulic quick tach, ride control, etc. and just a bit over 400 hours.

One Deere piece. A 490E.

The majority of our equipment is, unfortunately, Dresser.

4 Dresser machines. 2 530 loaders (3 yard loaders) a TD25G (73,000 lb dozer. Approx D8 equivalent) and a TD7H (D3 or D4 equivalent)

CAT is my preferred brand. Deere is a close second. If we're talking excavators then Hitachi and Deere are tied since they're the same. Maybe Hitachi would be a hair above Deere for the better fuel economy.

Nick: That is absolutely hillarious. That guy has WAY too much free time on his hands though.

They're driving a pink Volvo because if they were driving a pink Prius they wouldn't have any contestants left alive after the first hundred miles.

Good deal, Nick. Robotics are just cool. But I'm a tech-geek, what do I know?? LMAO!

On the '06, that is very close to what I want as my next truck. F350, check. 4x4, check. Low miles, check. But I want a King Ranch, if I can find one...

On another note, I just caught up on the last several pages... Good stuff.

Yea. We don't run equipment that large. We don't have the need for it.

Biggest machines we need are in the 70,000-80,000lb range.

We're working on trying to save up for a D6 in the future. It'll be like $125,000 for an 04 or 05 with 3,000 hours on it. We want one with a 6 way blade since it is easier to achieve a final grade with a 6 way than with a semi-U.

We're trying to get a job hauling material from the dredging of a town reservoir. If all goes as planned it could be a 1,000,000$ job.

I've got dad convinced that if we get it we will need to lease a new D6LGP since the material will be wet and sloppy.

Here's the kitty.
