Wake up at 7:30 to be up and ready for drivers ed which starts at 8:00 and goes through 10:00. Get home and change into my clothes I get dirty instead of the ones I keep clean. Load the polesaw and other gear I will need into the truck. Get to the barn and load the MS210 and MS460 in the truck. Do a little limbing near the shop. Head up to what used to be a pasture and take down 5 trees. One of which was 17" or so which meant I had to use the 460 if I wanted to cut from one side instead of cutting on both. Running around a tree to cut the other side would've been sketchy since I was standing on a steep side hill while I was cutting.
After that I did some more limbing and then helped dad with sorting some nails out of the wood they were mixed in with. We idled the engine on the tub grinder and put the nails on the conveyor (the conveyor has a magnet at the end) and put the loader bucket under the nail chute to catch the clean nails. We did th at and picked up enough nails to fill 8 or 9 55 gallon drums that I had cut the ends out of with the Oxy-Acetylene torch.
Ate dinner and now I'm obviously on FTE. I'm tired... that was a long day...
That sounds much better than the yogurt I just ate......
We just got back from dinner at Pa Raffas' J-L had spaghetti and meatballs I had a hot pastrami torpedo and we split an antipasto.

Tom. I told those mice they'd be welcome at your house. Don't turn me into a liar now.
So I had a fun day today. Randy and I drove down to the quad cities area for a gun show...drove around a bit...waled along the Mississippi...had lunch, and then went to the John Deere museum in Moline, IL.
Here's some pics:
Here's a cutaway display of one of the diesel motors. Pretty neat:
A giant wheel on one of the combines. If I fit in it, it must be big:
Randy sitting in the wheel of the big loader:
That's a big scoop!
On next year's Christmas list:
And the Waterloo boy:
And finally, a view from inside the combine:

Pete you had a good day! I have a sick woman, and a recovering puppy that has to stay inside, my day was boring!
Lisa, that pic of you sitting in the tractor, is ALMOST as hot as the one of you sitting in the tire, I think Im gonna need a cold shower here!
On edit: I got sidetracked there, sounds like you had a great day to Lisa, i would love to check out the JD museum!
Sick woman..what's wrong with her?
LOL...tractors get you worked up huh Sheldon?
I admit seeing all that stuff up close was really cool. I really wanted to crawl around in the scoop on the front of that yellow loader but...it said please stay off.
