The one with more traction. It has nothing to do with what's under the hood.

Anyway I'm out. Looks like this has degraded to the standard pissing match.

My two cents

This is what I have to say about my 6.4. I love this truck it is a f-250 king ranch. I have had my problems no doubt. Engine blew @ 10,000 mile because a tech put some clips on the fuel rails on wrong and it leaked fuel into the oil pan, anyhow on my way a few hundred miles the oil and diesel mixed together and burnt up the motor. Then not a few months later the fuel pump went out and as we all know that is a cab off repair. It took the dealership here two and a half months to get it in the shop and two days to fix it. That is after I contacted the BBB and ford being so nice and fair paid one truck payment on the engine problem, but they decided to give me a 200,000 mile powertrane and 2 truck payments. I was happy about the warranty. I run the SCT Livewire DPF delete tune on extreme. I drive it right and don't blow smoke all the time only when a duramax pulls up next. I get 22 to 24 mpg on hwy and 17 in town. It purrs and has an extreme amount of torque. I love the way the truck rides I have no rattles. Anyhow theres my two cents.

That sucks about the tech's screw up. Glad to hear you got everything straitened out.

Are you running SCT's standard DPF delete tunes or Innovative's custom tunes? Gotta love the power and mileage these engines produce after that soot can is removed. I want to upgrade to Innovative's custom tunes but the stock clutch can't even handle SCT's standard extreme tune. I can't hardly get on the throttle when I'm in overdrive, torque is insane.

Thanks for the support. I am running SCT's standard extreme tune i had to purchase the tune seperate that had the extreme tune and DPF delete.

Just a thought SCT told me that I should have ford flash the PCM with their new flash and then update to the latest flash versions before reprogramming the computer back to SCT's new program. The truck runs so sweet the engine sounds and purrs like a couger. The altitude difference in our locations might have something to do with not getting the mileage that i am getting.

V10 with 4:10 vs v10 with 3:73

Considering buyng 6.4l but also considerng switchng gears in v10. Town mpg is 9.8 hand calc and road is 12.2. Don't haul much mainly in town but do haul 20% of time various loads 4-12k load. Have an 08 v10. I'm test driving 6.4l now f350 long bed getting 12.4 on lie meter in dash. Would switching my gears to 3:73 help mpg and maybe adding airraid stage1? Bottom line I miss my 7.3 diesel . I c some folks in here that have responded to my 08v10 or 08 6.4 inquiry. Thanks for your time.
