Wally, that's what I was thinking, if understand correctly, purchased from a stunt car team and used for the stunts, if so, would be interesting if any articles or pic's of how it was used in the stunts. Does'nt take much to peak my curiosity.

Life is good, what a collection of some great looking treasures. German1966, what a great job!!!. Curious, see a bracket on passenger side below the door, thought it's possibly an add-on from the prior owner's stunts, likely as simple as a jack stand. If understand, resident of Germany, if so, interested if there are many of the classic's in the Country, particularly Ford enthusiast, and are there swap meets, car shows, etc.
I've never asked if they used this truck for a stunt show. I think it was a step may be custom made for "farm use".
In germany we have a considerable us car scene with Hot Rods, 40's till 90's, Lowrider and Trucks. Two magazines for American Car + Life. Some car shows from north to south germany.

But the most information for my restauration i get from FTE and from the shop manual for 1966 Ford Trucks

I recently saw a similar set up on a 1970 f250. At first I thought it was a backyard doing, but now I see this one. Wow you just never know.

The extent of my experience covers several yrs of junk yard salvaging, car and truck shows, and swap meets, have never seen the step before. Glad I asked, learned something new today, FTE never ceases to amaze me. Bookmarked the link, find it interesting, thank you.

Sorry, did not mean to get off topic, or beat a dead horse, just find the 'step' interesting. Read the "Illustrated Facts and Features Manual" and don't recall any mention of it. Guess it's function is to assist the passenger into the truck, simply a 'step'.

In the process of building a motor for it... It's various hi-jinks for the uninitiated (me) very steep learning curve... praying I didn't over do it on the cam.
