Boss9F100: Do you have a recommended brand of anodize remover? The oven cleaner didn't work for me (or I didn't use it right).

The stuff I have on hand is from Blue Lightning

http://www.blulightning.com/

I was not a real big fan of the way they did business but the product works well. There is another I have used that worked very well but cannot find the name.

Very straight and I dont see any rust.Looks like original paint or original color. Does it have the 292 in it?? Nice tailgate.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it also. It does have some rust but not to bad. The truck was painted some time in the early seventies. I think that may be when the a/c was installed. My dad is working on the bed sides and tailgate now. The truck looks like it had the stirrup steps put in at one time and then repaired. It appears to be the original seat and shows 42,000 on the speedo. I am not sure now because the motor appears to have been painted before and yes it has the 292 and runs perfect. It needs a new exhaust though.

Wow. I just flipped through all 26 pages of this thread.
Very beautiful trucks, guys/gals.
When I set out searching for my truck, I was seeking a '65, '66.
I wanted a slick, but I wanted a twin I-beam mostly.
Other than the body, the specifics I was looking for were:
Twin I-beam, 1/2 ton, 2wd, I-6, stick, power nothing, pre-emissions.
I happened to find all of those, with a '75 body wrapped around it.
I had to jump at it.

I know I'm off my turf, but here's a pic anyway.

I am jealous of most of you guys. Keep the eye candy coming!
Murph.

Murph that's a nice dentside; now find a good 65-66 with Twin I beam and you'll have the best of both worlds.
Also "First Today"; I wish a came across a uni in that good of shape. I'm jealous myself.
