This was my 1965 ford. Sorry about the quality.

A month before these bottom pictures, I hit my brakes and snapped a rear axle. I have never gone sideways so fast in my life. I took out a light pole and went part way into the old historic cemetary in new orleans. My dad and I changed the rearend and put another bed on from another truck I had. Then this happened.

I hit an oak tree at about 60 mph.

Considering what you hit and the speed of impact, that truck held up pretty well. You lived to tell the story, probably wouldn't want to try that trick in something modern though.

I went to the passenger door and was about to jump out when it hit the tree. I climbed back out from behind the drivers wheel. After the cop crammed me into the back seat for 45 minutes, I was removed from the cop car and my uncle brought me to the hospital. I broke no bones, got 18 stitches, and could not walk for 2 months. I did not sneeze for 5 months. My dad had to bring me in the house on a dolley. The most pain I have ever felt.

Same truck as before, this time with an old camper on it. It is a '67 Eldorado Galaxie. The upholstery of the camper goes with the color of the truck pretty well.

You mean a member like me? If you are willing to drive for it my neighbor has 2 sitting in the field, 1 is in the best shape of any sitting slick i have ever seen! The other is hopefully going to be mine, it has basically nothing but a cab, bed full of doors and new running gear (i need a rear end and doors). But Ill talk to the neighbor and see if he is willing to let her go.

For anybody interested in the FE C6 i have in the shop i am in Oregon. I also have a small block C6 and a Big block C6 and a newer computer controlled (but toast) automatic out of a bronco that still has the t-case. So if you are in Oregon and need a C6 i am the one to talk to.

Not a mark on it. I did this back before Katrina, and she couldn't kill it either, I see it a couple of times a week.

BPuller:

Nice straight metal and seems like there is no visible rust. You guys in AZ sure have it lucky-old steel really last down there!!

I wonder if the paint is original. It looks like a good cleaner wax or rubbing compound would bring out the shine. Is the paint thin??

Very nice looking 66!!

is there a way to get a fender for the driverside rear that doesnt have the spare tire indentation? or would that have to be fabbed up?

Yes, they also came without the indention. You just have to find one. Pretty sure they repop the fenders (in steel and fiberglass). Here's my F250 Long Flare.

FWIW: I'm pretty sure I've seen them with the indention on the right fender also. It may have been an option as to where the spare was located and on which side.
