I don't think Slicks quilify to be called "HiBoys"
They are a 1967-1977.5 F-250 Factory 4x4. (There a couple other things,but thats the quick defintion...)
So whats with the "01" on your door?
Zip,I'M sure no one will mind...
I don't own a slick and I love them!

Yeah, i know i made the name before i did the research, because i couldn't do the research without a name. So im just gonna roll with the name and hope not too many people notice, and the 01 was there when i got the truck. Im deciding wether to repaint and put a new 01 on it, or some other number.

Well.....

Well here she is...... She has been sitting for about 11-12 years at my Mom's house and my Father-in-law is bringing it down to me in a couple of weeks, June 26th to be exact. I'm getting excitied to start working on it as a project truck. By no means will be a full restore. I am doing a resto-mod on it and just want a mild at best truck that has a nice hum to it.

Enjoy!

Your're certainly welcome to hang out with us. I must warn you though, Slickitis i.e. the acquisition, owning, collection and restoration/refurbishment of "Slicks" (61-66 Ford Trucks) is very, very contagious.

My uncle and my grandpa did a three way trade/sale with me back in '95. My G-Pa gave my uncle (his son) a '78 Silverado, nice truck for a Chevy. My G-Pa got a NEW '95 F150 Ext Cab. I bought the '65 for $1. Just in my price range for a junior in high school.

Anyway the head gasket blew out and i changed it out by then it got to be a nickel and dime affair for an impatient kid so I parked it. Me and a "friend" of mine were going to rebuild the 289 that was in it. The 289/C4 combo was from a 67 Mustang that my uncle put in it after the 390 that the guy before him had in it was beyond repair. Well, me and my "friend" had a falling out and I didn't know enough about cars/trucks at the time to do it.

Well, times have changed and here I go to bring her back to glory. I will be leaning on my Father-in-law who know a lot about cars and all of my fellow FTE members to guide me along to success.

Sorry for the novel....but you kinda asked LOL

Highboy;
2WD and where are you and what would you be asking? PM if you feel more comfortable

76f350;
She's a F100 Shorty. No offense to others but I don'tlike the long bed. In fact, I don't like long beds on ANY truck.
