Bill, I don't think anyone is trying to fool anyone with this truck. Many people (like me,) feel perfectly free to change and modify vehicles to suit their taste and convenience. I think that's just fine, but I also appreciate your vast knowledge about the Ford products.

I really, really like this truck. If it were mine I would probably have done many of the same things we see on it now. And more. We have a very different approach, that's all. I look at a car or truck and I see raw materials for making something else.

Peace

ND: I agree and thanks for pointing out the deviations from original. The folks on e-bay seem to be especially prone to exaggerations at to what is "restored". Most at best should be more accurately described as "Resto Mod's" and not RESTORED.

Since there's no link to the ebay ad, who knows what the seller is claiming and what they ain't.

If this was mine, I'd...at least...have the correct hubcaps, tailgate and fender emblems on it....and black wall tires.

Most trucks did not come with whitewall tires. Most Ford passenger cars didn't either until the mid 1950's.

302 V8 is my guess...not the vaunted and venerable 352 FE.....power brakes are a nice touch though...

Stilll a head turner I'm sure....

gangstakr truck looks great! great color you picked out.

hard to tell from the pic... but did you do something about the top body line under
the bed rail where the top joins the fender panel?? looks like you filled in the gap?
Or I could be imagining things. either way.. cool truck.

No, all body lines are where they should be. Only modifications to body metal are. Bed rail holes filled, and a hole made for the power antenna on passenger side back of cab.

And thanks guys/gals for all the kind words.

How'd I get a dent in my picture? Better there than on my truck.

lol... well crap, hopefully mine will look that good when I get it out of the body shop.. The bed is in now getting a face lift and tuck and some wrinkles removed... and a new bed floor. I got all my holes in the rails welded up and started applying filler on the sides. next step is to get the floor welded in and a door for my gas tank in the floor. then it gets some primer. Im pretty excited about it.. I havent had a bed on the truck in months. Im tired of people asking me if its a tow truck or something.

Great truck and as always your work is inspiring, look forward to seeing more!
