Consider what you will be doing when you arrive at your destination too. Will you need extra room for any other passengers or "stuff". I always prefer taking the truck but when the whole family goes we take Mama's Taurus X so the kids can watch the DVD player and I arrive with all my hair still in my head.

If y'all coming to FL, GA in the next three years, take 475 around MACON. Newspaper had big front page news today, that for the next THREE YEARS (3) I-75 will be under construction, with limited lanes.

Expected to start soon. Traveling southbound or northbound, take I-475 or you will pay. I do not have exact dates, but it will be a supreme mess.

Well, I think the weather has answered your question. Georgia and Virginia are in the midst of a great winter storm, lots of nice wet snow!

We went through Brunswick going to FL in November and they had construction going on all up and down I-95. Have a safe trip.

Yep, we're at the I-81/I-77 intersect and we've got about three inches on the ground now and it's still coming down.

well wonder if it will even amount to the snow I drove thru in New Mexico in Dec. That was about 6". Didn't have my hubs locked till we had to stop because of someone stopping going up the hill.

I turned around and took a side road.

First of all Brandon D, this site has a lot of things to offer and it is just like a TV with many channels. If you don't like a forum then don't look at it just like changing that TV channel. Variety is the spice of life as they say.

Secondly, Senix take the truck. It's a business trip isn't it? The mileage deduction rate is worth much more than fuel right now. I am sure the government will lower the deduction rate later this year if fuel prices do not go back up. However, take advantage of it now.

Did you get a new bumper? Looks good!

If your car is an 09 GT500KR I would go ahead and take it. If not then take the 6.4. I love road trips in my super duty. The #1 rule for a good rad trip is drive something cool. P.S. I think Brandon D needs to get his dpf surgically removed... if you know what I mean.
