Thanks guys ^_^

Thats very interesting about the compressor. I thought I might be able to get my money back for it, but there is also a part of me that looks at it, then back at my shop, then looks at it again, then back at my shop, lol...

Something one of my Mustang friends pointed out was the exhaust on the engine. I've never see it done like this, does that hinder the power at all to have it cross over like that?

Is there any easy way to tell a 272 from a 292? serial code I'm sure, but maybe something from a picture to ease my curiosity now?

Btw, if anyone is interested he's selling all his old trucks. He has 22, including a '53 F-600 as well. Lots of Chevys. Makes mine look small! Great guy to work with.

Oh Stephen,
Don't tell me stuff like that. Im in enough trouble as it is. Fortunately a '53 F-600 is too big to fit inside my trailer.

Probably used as an air source for rock drills.

Hey!!!
Thanks for trashing my last rationale. Is there some reason you just want to get me into trouble???

Of course it might fit if I scrapped the bed and took the outside duals off of it. Hmmm???

No, no, no... Bad brain, bad brain !!!

No help on the compressor but check with some of these old antique tractor and engine guys, they go crazy over stuff like that. Hey good score on the truck looks pretty solid.

There is only one good thing that happens at 2am, well maybe two good things, but it doesn't include searching on google.

That is precisely what has contributed to most of my troubles through out my life. It has been farn too easy for me to figure the ways.

However, now I have to start being practical as I am almost 64 and and I will be lucky to get most of the stuff I have started done before checkout time. Right now I am resisting the big urge to make a call about a panel truck I saw sitting in a field about a week ago that is about thurty miles from the house. I strongly suspect I will cave on that one and make the call. I don't know if I can stand the strain.
