will a 7.3 idi diesel turbo work on a carburated 460

Hey I was wondering if a 1994 idi diesel turbo would work to put on a 460 and what a person would have to do to put a turbo on a carburated 460 thanks ps I have a stock 94 idi turbo diesel truck and the engine has low compression in the number 1 cylinder and I was gonna drive it till it quit and put a 460 in its place so I would have the turbo and engine to mess with.

anything will work if you have enough time and money to invest into it.

Because any N/A to turbo conversion is custom made anything can work. That said, how much experiance do you have with turbocharging engines? Once you get into that kind of a build it is a bottomless pit... You would be better off to stick with EFI(run a Megasquirt system or something) and do ALOT of reading.
