I just got of the phone with Kim (customer service) and a tech guy at EMS and they said they haven't had any complaints about these fender patches but they will be retooling them in the near future. The tech guy made note of my concerns and said he would specifically adress them when they work on their new process.
I didn't push them for a refund since I didn't buy them direct, but they were pleasant to speak with and seemed to take me seriously.
Hopefully they will fix these issues for the next batch and more of us poor suckers wont get hosed.
I'll let you all know if I hear anything from Dennis Carpenter. If I don't hear anything soon I plan to call.
AJ

If you talk to Wayne in shipping at DC, he is very conscientious and helpful, followed thru on a problem I had.

My Fender bottoms will "fit" the F-1 but you have to cut them vertically and add about 2 inches.
The good thing about mine are the contours are correct. I made them using my F-5 corners. "exact fit" comes to mind.
Have not seen a real demand to make dies for the F-1.
How about it boys and girls, speek up and you "may recieve"

Fender Bottoms

I second or third that motion. I'm looking for a good set of bottoms for a 51 F1.
