(1) I live in Le Sueur MN (southern MN, near Mankato) and commute back and fourth to mankato every day where I go to school for an Automotive Engineering Technologist degree, and work as a mechanic.
(2) current DD is an 00 Impala. I know, I said a swear word on a ford board, but it gets better gas mileage than my 88 and 85 F150's. Plus it is comfortable to drive

(3)I enjoy working on cars. I love the feeling of a job well done, and I get kicks figuring out problems others cant solve. I recently recieved a 1947 ford 1.5 ton, so once I find a car trailer and someone who is willing to drive to hibbing to get it, its all mine. So I project that will be my summer project (probably for the next 5 years).

(4) I would love to help out with chapter things as much as I can (not alot of time however, having a GF, school full time, and work)

(5) When I first thought of camping, I thought tent, and now I see everyones huge campers, wow. But yeah, I'm all for camping.

My grandpa collected alot of old cars/trucks. He is going to a nursing home, and his wishes were to have his kids/grandkids take his stuff, instead of selling it. Theres alot of stuff up there. Most of it is in extreemly rough shape, like worth its weight in scrap metal at most. So it will be my quest to get it running and road worth again. I want to try and make it useful again, which is why I would like to put a flat bead car hauler on the back. So we'll see what I can come up with. The first project is to get it back. I'm to the point right now where I am thinking about buying a car trailer, otherwise I wonder if I can rent one. I know the U haul trailers are much to short. So I guess i'll have to find somewhere that rents larger ones.

Before you buy one look around and call the rental places here in the cities. Somebody has to rent a heavy duty one. I might be able to help you tow it back if you need help. It just depends on when you are going to do it. Are you guys looking to sell any of the other ones and do you have pics. I would love to find an old cab over to put a diesel to tow my 5th wheel with?

Hey Guys, I'm 15 Mins West of Duluth, Twig, Mn.

I've got a pretty well equipped 30'X50' shop. So if any of You guys ever get in a jam up here. Throw Me a PM. I usually check in here once in the am, and in the evenings.

I've got a 93, and an 85 F250, both 2X4 diesels. And My trusty old rust bucket for winter, a 93 F150 4X4.

Congrats on being the new Chapter leader!

I don't scroll down the page this far very often, but when the weather is as bad as it is, I tend to go here. (which seems all year so far, lol)

I live North of Two Harbors, and have several old Ford's littering my back yard, lol.

Only caveat I see for a GTG is that this state is big!

Peter94: Awesome truck! I've been looking off and on for a panel version of that body style. I have 2 big trucks(F6 and F8 dump) I need hauled home as well, and the only way I think it can be done is in stages of on-site disassembly of front clip/engine/trans and then cab/bed (if applicable) and finally the remaining chassis. That should keep the weight down for bigger car trailer axles. 3 trips, yes, but still may be cheaper than hiring a drop-deck or low-boy. Of course yours may be different, but I have to go down the entire length of Hwy 53, then back up 61. Good luck on your project!

fonefiddy- you are pretty close to my grandpa's old farm where my truck is. He lives near Makinen.

Havi- Thanks for the complement. I cant wait to be able to work on the truck. However I'm afraid it will spend alot of time sitting because I still have a year or two of college left, and am working as much as I can. So you can probably guess where all my spare time goes.

who I am

Hey MN, I am actually finally seeing more posts in here so I think i might pop my headin more as i usually hang out in the 7.3 and superduty crowd.

My main truck is a 2000 7.3 CC, LWB, 4X4, but I also have a 73 1310 IH flatbed, a 74 1100 IH 4x4 and my most recent PU pickup is a 71 1200 IH 2wd 3/4 ton, I also own a few old scouts with the crown jewel being my 80 diesel scout 2 which is up for some work soon. I work on anything tho usually.

I like wrenching when the Army lets me so if any of you are up north and need a hand or just wanna get together send me a PM please!
