Oil and Lower Pulley

Just finished replacing lower pully and instlling Diablo Chip and changing Air intake system on my 02 HD150 Supercharged. When removing old pulley I noticed a small amount of oil behind the pulley. Everything works fine and what a difference, anybody have infor on why and where this oil appeared. Appreicate any info on this. Jim Porter
