I have my Y-pipe (std '99 aluminized) still sitting in the box.... I picked it up in person on our way through Oregon and haven't had time to install.
I can send you mine if you have Jacob send yours to me when parts are in.
Hi mwsF250
thank you for the offer but let me call Jacob tomorrow and see when the parts will be in. If it looks to be a whole lot longer I may take you up on it.
Mike
Mike, just do me one favor, to make a pull THAT DAY for a baseline before putting the y-pipe in. We don't want to be comparing different days
Of course, if you have the time.

Art I can see what you're asking but can't the results be corrected for weather conditions. I think we're looking for nominal numbers here and not "exact" anyway, right?
If the difference of the before-Y and after-Y is within the margin of error or any correctable margin, that would be telling in and of itself. If the difference is way beyond what would be a weather difference or operator difference then we can all surmise that the Y-pipe makes a difference. Clear as mud?
Well, it would also be nice to see them all on the same graph

The software packages used on every dyno I've been around allows you to overlay multiple graphs on the same sheet(even those from a year or more ago) and will usually correct each pull to SAE or STD weather conditions (whichever you choose).

You are correct ours is no different. All corrections are applied and stores all runs for that specific vehicle ID. Overlays are no problem either. All controls are via Blue Tooth with a PDA.
In looking at the YPipe that we received it is a nice quality pc. I am not sure what increases we will see with stock headers & muffler still in place. I guess we will find out.
New to the site, but have found some good info here. Since reading about the Y pipe and all the people who have installed them, I ordered 2 last week 1 for my 04 F350 CC SB 4x4 and 1 for my brother in laws 01 F350 CC LB 4x4. The pipes are to be installed later this week or weekend. My truck is lifted w/285s and has a K&N FIPK installed along with an Airaide Throttle spacer, Hypertech Max energy Tuner and Flowmaster 70, runs pretty darn good now, can't wait to see if there is a differance once the pipe is on. Brother in laws truck is totally stock other than bigger tires. Looking forward to your dyno results.
I'm glad i just signed in. I am about ready to put Ford Motorsport Headers on my truck. One of the stock manifolds has cracked. So i will wait and see what the truck pulls with a Y-pipe. So one can be installed while the Manifolds are being swaped out.
Great posting and great info.
