What shocks should I buy?

I have a 2002 F150 super cab that needs new shocks. I'm looking to spend about $50 each or so. What would you recomend or advise to stay away from? Thanks

is it a 2wd, 4wd, or fx4? i have an 02' screw fx4 and it comes with the rancho schocks stock. when i went to replace them i believe they were around 50 bucks or so a piece, they weren't too expensive. that's the way i would go.

Monroe Sensatracs. I've had Rancho and will never go back, if you find them for $50 ea. you are in luck. NAPA carries the Monroe's and IIRC they are far less than $50ea.

I'm not too fond of Ranchos as well, they are very stiff especially in the winter. I would recommend Bilstiens but they are more than your budget...go with the Monroe's, they are a pretty decent shock all around.

Haha well it depends on if you want it to ride like a cement truck or a lincoln.
My Ranchos are stiff, especially in the cold, You can tell when you get in it in the morning andit doesn't move and if it does it creeks a bit.
Depends on the ride you want...

Ranchos are stiff.

like a lincoln is right. i got the sensatrac and the truck bounces all over the place on the back roads u almost get sea sick. my old stock ones that were leaking were stiffer then the sensatrac. its a nice ride on a fresh paved highway but thats about it.

Monroe Gas Magnums.

They're the only ones that would last more than a year on my 91 F250.
Then again, an F250 won't ride like a Lincoln no matter what shocks you put on it.....

I got Monroe Reflex's and they ride pretty good, I believe they were $50 a piece and come with like a 3 year warranty from Advance Auto.
