I also asked him to run an oasis and he said it wouldn't matter even if the csp did show up they still couldn't do anything about it. So I might try calling another ford dealer and see if they will order the injectors.

Sorry in advance for being ling winded on this one, but Is this "09b08-Injectors" the same problem as the TSB 07-8-9 report. Call me crazy but I did the ask a mechanic thing on the internet and he gave me TSB 07-8-9 report, its three pages long shows almost the same illustration for the short dip stick method. This report states on the front page in the ISSUE section as follows

Some F-Super duty vehicles equiped with the 6.4l diesel may exhibit one or more of the following concerns, lacks power, leaks oil, fuel or coolant from tailpipe, sediment, white smoke, or ash, exhaust smell, knock or rattle, elevated idle, surge, crankcase oil level overfull MIL On, DTC`S P087,P2291,P0263-P0284,P0300-P0308,P1336,P132B,P2262,P2263,P244C or P244D.

It basically goes on to explain to the tech working on the truck steps to either find or rule out possible leaks around the fuel supply tubes on the IDS high pressure fuel system or injectors. Apparently theres an issue with some of the fitting bosses on the primary lines were the lines to each injector are connected having small cracks on the under side. With these lines being under the valve covers I think its pretty easy to see how fuel is getting in the oil. I will see if I can scan this report in to my computer for everybody to read, this sounds to me and I could be wrong but I think most of the problems or concerns most of us are having with the 6.4l diesels that is if you are having issues could be linked to this problem. Let me know what you think.

Could you run my VIN #1FTSW21R08EE28553

Thanks in advance!

A somewhat silly question to all, I know my truck was made at the Kentucky plant, and when I look on the door post at the trucks info, the only date given is 05/08. I am assuming this is May of '08, not May 8th?

TSB 07-8-9 and CSP 09B08 are not directly connected to one another. TSB 07-8-9 was issued to help techs diagnose and address issues on early trucks that were making oil for what could have been one of a few reasons while CSP 09B08 is a specific repair instruction for a known issue that needs no diagnostics...

As for the short stick method, it is nothing new and was also used with the 6.0L's for diagnostics of a overfill condition...

Your truck was built on 05/21/08 and it is not on the list of affected vehicles...

Thanks PowerStrokeHD
I have a job one truck date is 06/07 I have had some of these issues and when I changed my oil it was about 2qts high and had the consistancy of almost water. I bought the truck with 23000 miles on it, there was a sticker for the oil change from ford service dept.could not make out the date but dealership had wrote next change 25100 miles. Since I didnt know if the oil was changed at 15000 or 20000 I changed it anyway thats when I discovered the extra oil in the motor. yes it smelled bad and poured out like water. I kept the oil should I take it to my service dept. and have them look at the truck and if so is there anything in paticular I should tell them about a job 1 truck. they might not be aware of. Thanks for any help in this matter.

Today's question:

Is my memory correct in reading somewhere in the last two days that SYNTHETIC OIL breaks down more rapidly with the addition of fuel oil than regular motor oil as specd. by FORD

nope, just conventional...most of our trucks are serviced at the dealer.

I put a note into my oil guru to see if he can shed any light on it.
