ford vs. chevy pray for snow

I just figured I'd share with you guys I got challenged to see who could go through more snow by a chevy buddy of mine. The only problem is there is no snow here in south dakota. He is starting to really get on my nerves. He drives a 79 half ton chevy with a 400. I have a 76 f250 highboy with a 390. Both automatics. We both have about the same tire. Neither tire is real big (30").I NEED YOU TO PRAY FOR SNOW IN SD SO I BURY HIS ASS AND SHUT HIM UP!!!!!

This thread has nothing to do with 73-79 technical discussion and is bumping down threads that have legitimate questions.

you'll prolly find ur "race" comes down to tires on each vehicle, overall weight of each truck..

and naturally a good bit of luk depending on the drivers choice of lines throu the snow...unless of course its on top of a road surface in which case whats under the snow wont have much affect on the outcome...

but heres to hoping ur buddies chevy gets stuck first.. hahaha..if u can keep ur budies chevy revin long enuf that 400 will blow a headgasket anyways...

I think you've got it as long as you have some tread on your tires. Your F250 will outweigh his 1/2 ton truck, so that's a major advantage in tug-of-war. You both will have plenty of power from the engines. Then, traction will be the last issue. Probably should let some air out of your tires.
