Question on RSK

Ok I was told by someone that they had done the reverse shackle on a 250 with the TTB axel. I keep hearing that it can't be done but can't grasp why. In stock setup when struck the axel moves up and forward. If it were reveresed ( up and back movement) wouldn't the horizontal movement of the axel be the same distance just reversed. Does the stock setup allow for forward movement and rear? Seems like the only thing that would be affected is the drop bracket bushings.

What am I missing that is bad?

It can be done but you need axle drop pivot brackets Just like any other lift over 2 inches on the F-250

Ok so it isn't a movement issue? Its the pivot for alignment issue.

Now that makes sense to me Thanks TJ

Yep just need to get the pivot end of the axle squared away so you can keep the tires in alignment.

Dont you have a radius arm that would keep the axle from moving back with a ttb? Think my 87 250 had them.
