This is going to become a more common problem for every diesel performance enthusiast. I wish the aftermarket would step up with high flow units to serve that segment.

To the original poster glad it got worked out for you. I would assume that a cat was legally required on your truck beings you had one installed. Glad it was at least partially paid for.

Paul, it don't really matter if the aftermarket steps up or not because currently CA (and as we all know other states are like sheep and will follow) requires that replacement cats are CA certified (read more spendy for us). So the best advice is if you remove it, keep it. With some cats well over $1000 here it can get expensive.
