HAHA wow this thread is nearly 2 years old and the truck has/is going under some more major changes!! This past season the truck recieved a custom built C6 trans, a rear gear swap, some cut 38.5x11 boggers, etc etc. And now it is having some MAJOR surgery done to it as I am swapping everything onto ta short box frame and going with half ton running gear, hoping to lighten the truck up by atleast 500lbs again. I will try to remember to post pics as my progress moves along.

sorry to hear youre ditching the 250.

Ive toyed with the idea of swapping my engine into a ranger several times but its just something cool about making 3 tons of steel move.

Cant wait to see the pics. Take 'em easy Myron.

Jeez this thread is old.. Lol
In this thread I talked about installing a Detroit in my d70. Well that's been done for a long time. I actually just got it back moving aging with a fresh 428 cj and 5:13's..
Let's see some new pics

hillybilly rockstar, are you going to be running the tirepro mud bogs again next year? your truck sounds incredibly healthy and it had some mud roosters coming off the boggers to prove that it is haha. we should be running my brothers truck next year but we'll be in the small pit, it's a red 86 ford f-250 on 35 inch boggers..i can't say anymore about the truck though haha it's classified for now lol, look forward to seeing you run that thing though, it's one badass ford..

Diesel-kid, yes I will be there again, I have been elected to be the president of the PCORA so I kinda have to be LOL. We will be in a new spot for next year, so we will have 2 side by side mud drag pits with the timing system, and one bounty pit, deep ugly n nasty. Should be fun, and we should have tons more room for the competitors.

Heres some pics from this past season

I still think you need to run the 38.5s in the front and the 39.5 on back.

How are those skinnys hooking in the rear?

Not really. I can make it through the pits just fine with 3 tires.

I will be running 39.5s on the back next year, the skinnies did fine since they were cut. But I did do a few runs with the wides on the back and I think it will work better next year. It does depend on the pit and start line though. Dry start line the skinnies do just fine but if its a wet start you need all the width you can get on the back.

no just the front, I'll use the d60 in the rear again since its already built and has takin all the abuse I can give it with no troubles.

HAHA yes, most definitly, and it did stay there till about 3/4 track when I rubbed a wall and it decided it was done racing, leaving the other three tires to fend for themselves LOL. I had beadlocks on it at the next race.

It should be straight east of the old location in that big open field, not sure if we can still access it from the airport or if you have to hang a right at the lights, but there will be signs up I'm sure.
Yeah it'll stay yellow, I though about doing a color change, but the inside is yellow already so I might as well just leave it like that.

Myron, you and I are going to have very similar built trucks once you finish the half ton swap. Mine is a gutted half ton shortbed with a big inch stroker & bed mounted radiator too. Here is mine, it's almost done. More pics in my album on here.
btw, the huge bumpers under the truck are for a different project....
