what trucks have to pass emissions in mass?

Ive been looking around trying to find an answer to this and cant seem to find one. Im wanting to get a 80s ford pickup but if i found something i liked from different years id probably get it but what i wanted to know was what trucks have to pass an emissions test in massachussetts as i want to throw a true dual exhaust on whatever truck i do get and some other things that would likely fail it for emissions. anyone know what years are exempt from emissions testing? or any article out there about it i couldnt find anything on the rmv website

You need to find Mass CMR 60.02 (section 3c).

In there, you will find that any light duty nondiesel vehicles with a model year earlier than 1996 is exempt.
