The V10 and the Diesel, (anything that goes in the van), is designed to be more than average dependable so they can be used in ambulances.

It is a real consideration by Ford to ensure your ride to the hospital is not interrupted by vehicle failure.

Absolutely... I have had one with 220k one with 196k and one that had over 300k. I had a 100 mile round trip to work every day and my wife had an 80 mile trip. we used the same car most of the time and it was usually a geo metro. 3cyl, 1.0 liter, 55hp, 56ft/lbs torque, and 50mpg. The ultimate economy car.... Those metros saved us so much money its unbelievable. Now im on the opposite side of the spectrum with a V10.... love it though...

Oh ya, my communte to work now is 1.5 miles. I can fill the tank once a month if I only drive to work.

"Who has the most miles on their V10?"

With just a hair shy of 50,000 miles on my '06, it's not me! Although, as many may or may not know, my old '93 F150XL was sold with 267,000 miles on the clock. She ran like a top, long live Ford's 300cid I6.

I met one gentleman at the Sears Tire and Battery I worked part time at and he brought in a '92 F150 with the 300cid I6 and it had 450,000 miles on it. Oh yeah, the truck and the poor motor looked it too. Buuuut, it was still running w/ no smoke out the tail pipe!

Enjoy,
RustyFuryIII

You still see lots of those older f150s with the I6. My dad had one years ago but that truck never saw 100k, he hit a tractor trailor head on and it was totaled. lucky everyone was ok...

I have about 134,000 on my 99 F250. And it still runs strong pulling a 12,500 lb. 5th wheel, with 2,900 lb. pin weight. :-)
